Childhood is a short season

Gone are the days we could just snuggle up into our mother's embrace and cry our heart out and a cone of soft serve is suffice to forget the reason we cried. For some odd reasons, we often take things for granted until its gone. Nevertheless, isn't it always these experiences that taught us to be wiser? We couldn't get hold of the things we'd done and turn them right again. Such a power might be given to the gods, but it was not given to women and men, and that was probably a good thing. Had it been otherwise, people would probably die of old age still trying to rewrite their teens. Wistful thoughts. The older I grow the more earnestly I feel that the few joys of childhood are the best that life has to give.

Gullible, innocent, naive, simple, credulous, happy
Need I say more?
